Pumpkin Oreo Balls

Pumpkin Oreo Balls are a fun and festive no-bake treat that is perfect for Halloween and fall parties. These easy to make Oreo truffles are shaped like pumpkins and decorated with green candy melts and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 package (15.25 oz.) Golden Oreos
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package (12 oz.) orange candy melts
  • 1/4 cup green candy melts
  • chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the food processor and pulse until the mixture is well combined and forms a dough.
  3. Use a small cookie scoop to portion the dough, then roll into smooth balls. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Press a toothpick into the top of each ball. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the orange candy melts according to package directions.
  6. Holding a ball by the toothpick, dip it into the melted orange candy, allowing the excess to drip off. Place it back on the parchment paper and remove the toothpick.
  7. Repeat with all balls. If the candy coating becomes too thick, reheat it gently.
  8. Allow the orange coating to set completely.
  9. Melt the green candy melts and place them in a small piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off.
  10. Pipe a small amount of green candy melt into the hole left by the toothpick to create a pumpkin stem.
  11. Press a chocolate chip into the side of each ball, flat side out, to create a pumpkin face.
  12. Allow all candy coatings to set completely before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

To easily dip the Oreo balls, make sure the candy melts are melted smoothly. If the coating is too thick, add a teaspoon of coconut oil to thin it. Work quickly as the candy coating will begin to set. If it gets too thick, reheat in short bursts in the microwave.
