Salted Caramel Apple Mini Pies

Delicious mini pies filled with spiced apples and drizzled with salted caramel for the perfect sweet and salty treat.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 45 tbsp ice water
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add ice water until dough comes together.
  3. Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into 12 circles. Press into a muffin tin to form mini pie crusts.
  4. In a bowl, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spoon mixture into pie crusts.
  5. Top with another small circle of dough or lattice strips. Brush with egg wash.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with salted caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
