Simple Recipe for an Extra Fluffy Omelette

This omelette is light, airy, and perfect for a quick breakfast, using simple ingredients to achieve extra fluffiness.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Optional: 1/4 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined and frothy.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set.
  4. Gently lift the edges with a spatula and tilt the pan to let uncooked egg flow underneath.
  5. Once the omelette is mostly set, add any optional fillings like cheese to one side.
  6. Fold the omelette in half and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully set and fluffy.
  7. Slide onto a plate and serve immediately.

Notes

For an even fluffier texture, separate the egg whites and beat them until stiff peaks form before folding back into the yolks.
