- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak to the skillet and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in bourbon, beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the steak to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in butter until melted and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Ensure to use a high-quality bourbon for the best flavor.
