Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil, then mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.
  5. Roll out each ball into a thin circle, about 6 inches in diameter.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes per side until puffed and golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, add herbs or garlic to the dough. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
