Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- For the bang bang sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water if grilling
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken cubes with olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
- If grilling: Grill skewers for 5-7 minutes per side until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
- If air frying: Place skewers in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- While chicken cooks, prepare the bang bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey in a small bowl.
- Remove skewers from heat and brush generously with bang bang sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
For extra spice, increase the sriracha. Ensure skewers are not overcrowded for even cooking.
