Spicy Cheddar-Jalapeño Meatball Poppers: cheesy, spicy, and perfect for parties or game night appetizers

  • 1pound ground beef, 85/15
  • 1/4 cupplain bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoonswhole milk
  • 2 teaspoonsWorcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoonkosher salt
  • 1/2 cupblock cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 4 ouncescream cheese, cubed
  • 1jalapeño, thinly sliced with seeds removed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
  3. Shape the mixture into 20 meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Cut the cheddar and cream cheese into ¼ inch cubes.
  5. Take one meatball, flatten it in your hand, place a piece of each cheese and a slice of jalapeño in the center, and reshape into a meatball.
  6. Place the meatballs in a baking pan and bake for 22-25 minutes, until cooked through.
