- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- Optional: Additional strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly on the bottom of the prepared dish.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix according to package instructions and pour it over the pecans.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired and serve.
Notes
This cake is best served chilled and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
