Swedish Apple Cake

A moist and flavorful apple cake with a hint of cinnamon, perfect for dessert or a sweet snack.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, then stir in melted butter and milk.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just incorporated. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
