- 3 apples, sliced and caramelized

- Olive oil for searing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Season pork shoulder with salt and pepper.
- Sear pork in a pan with olive oil until browned.
- Add onions, garlic, and sage to the pan.
- Place apples around the pork and pour in broth.
- Cover and bake for 3 hours until tender.
- Remove pork and make gravy from pan juices.
