For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms, onions, and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Gradually add cheddar, Monterey Jack, and Parmesan cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
