Cream Cheese Mints

These delightful cream cheese mints are soft, creamy, and melt in your mouth. Perfect for weddings, baby showers, or any special occasion. They are easy to make and can be customized with different colors and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • For the mints:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract (or other flavor of choice)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • For coating (optional):
  • Granulated sugar or additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. 2. Add the peppermint extract (or other flavoring) and mix well.
  3. 3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated and a dough forms. If the mixture is too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar.
  4. 4. If using food coloring, divide the dough and knead in the desired color(s).
  5. 5. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 tsp each) and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. 6. Flatten each ball with a fork or press into a mold for decorative shapes.
  7. 7. Optional: Roll the mints in granulated sugar or powdered sugar for extra sweetness and texture.
  8. 8. Let the mints dry at room temperature for at least 1-2 hours before serving or storing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze the mints and thaw before serving.
