Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 jalapeños, seeded and diced (leave seeds for extra heat if desired)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving 1 tablespoon of drippings in the pan.
- Add butter and olive oil to the skillet. Add diced chicken breast, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until chicken is golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add diced jalapeños and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta and crispy bacon back to the skillet. Toss to combine and coat evenly. If desired, stir in shredded cheese for extra creaminess.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional jalapeño slices or bacon bits if desired.
