Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato puree, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add chicken chunks and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream, stir well, and simmer for 15 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice.
