Smoky Honey BBQ Chicken and Crispy Bacon Pasta in a Velvety Cream Sauce

A rich and comforting pasta dish featuring smoky honey BBQ chicken, crispy bacon, and a velvety cream sauce.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving 1 tablespoon of drippings in the pan.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet. Season diced chicken with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Stir in honey BBQ sauce and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

For extra smokiness, use applewood-smoked bacon. Adjust honey BBQ sauce to taste.
